[Go Daddy]New Shared Hosting File Limit Policy, No More Than 500,000 Files And Folders

Last month Go Daddy blog post this article, Announcing a New Shared Hosting File Limit Policy, now all of the godaddy hosting accounts are limit to no more than 500,000 files and folders (Windows®) or inodes (Linux®),
that’s the number of files and not their size, so it even applies to Godaddy hosting accounts with unlimited storage.

Go Daddy said:

All of our customers’ hosting accounts are important to us. So, to make sure everyone gets the speed, performance, and reliability they expect from Go Daddy.

Go Daddy implementing this change because customers with massive numbers of files can affect other accounts on the same server. Don’t worry too much, 500,000 files are a whole lot of files, and most hosting accounts don’t even come close to 1,000 files, let alone 500,000.

Btw, this site is host by Go Daddy web hosting deluxe plan, Blog Hosting at GoDaddy.com.

What is Go Daddy: Go Daddy is an Internet domain registrar and Web hosting company that also sells e-business related software and services. In 2010, it reached more than 45 million domain names under management. Go Daddy is currently the largest ICANN-accredited registrar in the world, and is four times the size of its closest competitor.
