CyanogenMod 9 is Coming in Two Month, ICS-Based

As the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich sources are released, CyanogenMod team, who build the greatest Android custom rom, announced that they start to work on the CyanogenMod 9. Maybe you are confused why there is no CyanogenMod 8? That is because google have not release the Android 3.2 Honeycomb’s source code, CyanogenMod team can’t build the CyanogenMod 8, which is Honeycomb-based. So here comes the CyanogenMod 9, ICS-based rom.

It will take about two weeks to build the first alpha version of CyanogenMod 9, there are only some base features in the first CM 9 rom, and it will take more than two month to complete other CyanogenMod special features, so if everything is going well, we will get the CyanogenMod 9 at the beginning of year 2012.

And for the CyanogenMod 7, CM team said they are going to release the version 7.2 while they are working on CM 9.

So which phone will be the first one to run CyanogenMod 9?
