[APK] Camera NX 7.4 is Here, Base on Google Camera 5.2, All Features & Bring back HDR+ for Nexus2015
The official Google Camera 5.2 version is released for some days. if you install it on your Nexus 2015 phones, you will find out there is no more HDR+ feature for Nexus 5X/6P, the funny thing is we can still have the HDR+ button on the options bar. I think it is a normal thing as this 5.2 version was built for Android P, which does not support on Nexus 2015 phones, so there is one more job to do with Camera NX mod. The smali code is much clean now, and all the mod features can be active as the old ways.

Camera NX V7.3 is a Google Camera mod, which is modified to unlock most of the exclusive features of Pixel 2 for Nexus 2015 and original Pixel phones. with this updated version, you can get the Portrait mode working with Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P and Pixel 2016 phones, which was the last Pixel 2’s exclusive feature.

New Google Camera version 4.2.035 released yesterday, no new features added, just bug fixes and performance improvement. After I apply the Camera NX Mod base on New Google Camera, I found the Burst Mode performance is improved on Nexus 5X, especially the shorter response time, though it still crashes sometimes if you start to burst right after taking a photo with ZSL HDR+, normal usage is still solid, I try burst more than 15 photos and it still can handle it. This is the noticeable improvement. Let’s see what are the changes under the hood.

Google just officially release Android N 7.1.1 to modern Pixel phons and Nexus phones, all eligible devices will receive OTA update in future several weeks. I download the factory images and install it vie Flashfire without wiping data, all things working good. As it is just one and a half weeks after Android 7.1.1 DP2 release, so there are not much changes, Nexus users still did not get the Round Icon layout, Blue color theme and fingerprint swipe down controls features.

If you are using a non-Pixel phones and feel interest in Google Assistant, you should already know the method that how to enable Google Assistant on your phone, which is changing your device model to “Pixel” or “Pixel XL”, but this change may break something that related to device model, some people has reported they have camera crash issue after doing the build.prop change, and other problem with OTA or device detection. New Camera NX V5.3 is live for download, it is modified base on the latest Google Camera v4.2.032, which was extract from Android 7.1.1 developer preview 2. In this new version I’d like to introduced the Hybrid-Burst mode, which is another exclusive feature for Pixel phones, I also fixed the video frame rate problem which was a side effect of the 240 fps hacks in version V4 for Nexus 5X.

We know about that both of the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P has the same rear camera hardware, the Sony IMX377EQH5, but only the Nexus 6P’ Google camera has the Smart Burst and 240 fps slow motion features. Why Google didn’t enable those features on Nexus 5X?
